Avi Rubin's books
This is the home page for my collection of books I've written or participated in.

- Web Security Sourcebook was my first book. I wrote it with
Dan Geer and Marcus Ranum in 1997. Most memorable about this book is that
the three of us met together face to face long after having finished the
project. In fact, the first time I ever talked to Marcus in person was
with a copy of the book in my hand. We did everything by e-mail and phone
calls.
- My second book is White-hat Security Arsenal.
The publisher is Addison Wesley, and my editor is Karen Gettman. This is the first
book that I wrote as a sole author.
- Together with Marc Waldman and Lorrie Cranor, I wrote two chapters in an upcoming
O'Reilly book called Peer-to-peer. We wrote Chapter 11 on Publius and Chapter 15
on Trust. The book is now available.
- Bill Cheswick and Steve Bellovin asked me to join them in writing
the second edition of their
Firewalls and Internet Security book, so I did.
- My latest book,
Brave New Ballot: The Battle to Safeguard Democracy in the Age of Electronic Voting,
is due out in early September of 2006. I wrote this after my research team analyzed
Deibold's voting machine code and found serious security problems. I was inspired to
write the book by DeForrest Soaries, then chairman of the US Election Assistance Commission.
