NPR
National Public Radio has covered electronic voting quite a bit.
Here are a few of the stories that can still be heard.
On November 13, 2004, I was interviewed on the call in show Washington Journal.
Since it was 30 minutes, I broke it down into 3 ten minute web streams.
Ed Felten, Adam Stubblefield and I analyzed the data we received from the opposition
party about the referendum on recalling Venezuelan president Chavez, that was held
on August 15.
Here is our report. Available in both English and Spanish.
A Challenge to the Voting Community
People often talk about "hacking challenges" and the like. I think that
the proposals I have heard are misguided. I've written up what I think is
a challenge that actually makes sense. If there were any way to make this happen, perhaps
the secretaries of state who make purchasing decisions could exercise the leverage they have
over the vendors, I think it would be very convincing.
